About this Holiday rental

Located between Bourg en Bresse and Oyonnax, in a small welcoming valley where the Suran river winds, you will spend wonderful moments between hiking, fishing in the Suran, swimming and canoeing on the Ain river or simply lazing around at Gîte des Aillets by Agnès and Emmanuel.
Within a wooden house where ecology and saving resources are fully implemented (Recovery of rainwater, solar and wind electricity, geothermal and pellet heating, etc.)
The 4/6 person gîte includes:
- A living room with integrated kitchen.
- A bathroom with walk-in shower.
- A lounge area with a 140 x 190 sofa bed. TV, Wifi.
- A bedroom with 1 double bed of 140 x 190.
-A bedroom with 2 beds of 80 x 200, convertible into a large double bed of 160 x 200.
-A folding cot, changing mat and high chair (on request)

The Suran valley is located in the heart of Revermont. The Suran, born in the department of Jura, quietly clears its way in a karstic relief where its waters are sometimes lost in its underground bed. A quiet valley where the water flows randomly. You can admire while strolling there, mills, fords, meanders, ruins of castles, witnesses of a rich past.
A must see:
The "Pierre Fiche" menhir (Historic monument): In Simandre-sur-Suran, along the old Roman road, sits the only menhir in the department. It dates from 2500 BC (Bronze Age) and measures 3.80 m in height.
La Chartreuse de Sélignac, founded in 1202: On the road to Corveissiat, sits this imposing building. Before leaving on a crusade, the Lord of Coligny donated the lands of Sélignac to the Order of Carthusians. Since 1211 and until 2001, monks lived in Sélignac.
The three fords on the Suran (Middle Ages).
The fruit farm in Comté in Simandre-sur-Suran.
