Description
Le moulin de Parayre, qui date du 17ème siècle, était originellement un moulin à foulons. Des marteaux en bois utilisaient la force hydraulique de la source de Rouveyrole pour transformer le chanvre en tissus. Il devint un moulin meunier, équipé d’une turbine et d’une génératrice en 1935, sa production électrique hydraulique permis d’électrifier le village des Vignes de 24 ampoules (et ce bien avant la création d’Électricité de France). Il fut ensuite transformé en scierie avec la construction d’une extension dans laquelle des fûts du Causse Méjean étaient transformés en fibre de bois. Vos hôtes, Yan et Isabelle, ont quitté la région parisienne pour faire revivre ce bien familial. A cette fin, ils ont dans un premier temps remis en service la turbine du moulin et produisent de « l’Energie verte ». Aujourd’hui, le projet s’agrémente de 5 chambres d’hôtes duplex et d’une salle commune avec cuisine d'appoint. Un accès direct à la source de Rouveyrole, comme au Tarn vous attend aux pied des chambres.
