The turquoise and crystalline waters of Lake Annecy will invite you to relax on the edge of the beach (2 km) or to practice water sports. From the Col de la Forclaz you can watch the paragliders take off or enjoy a tartiflette on the terrace enjoying a magnificent view of the lake and the mountains. Shops are located near the residence: mini-markets, baker, butcher, post office, restaurants as well as doctors, pharmacy. The old town of Annecy, Venice of the Alps with its many pedestrian streets and shops is 20 km from Doussard. At 65 kms you can visit Geneva and Switzerland as well as the French shore of Lake Geneva with its medieval village Yvoire which has kept its authenticity as well as the spa towns of Thonon les Bains and Evian les Bains. A cycle path and greenway near the village will allow you to go around Lake Annecy (40 kms). A regular coach service provides a daily link between Gare d'Annecy and Albertville with a stop 100 m from the residence (line Y51)
