The recently renovated La Petite Maison gîte is located in a hamlet of Saint-Étienne-de-Carlat, 18 km from Aurillac. This charming holiday home with garden is an ideal base for recharging your batteries in the heart of nature and exploring the tourist routes of Carladès, between Cantal and Aveyron. Character house with garden in Saint-Étienne-de-Carlat in Carladès La Petite Maison invites you to enjoy a peaceful holiday in the countryside with family or friends. This charming gîte is in a traditional house from 1809, made of local stone and a slate roof. With a surface area of 120 m2, spread over 2 levels, it is equipped with the greatest comfort to comfortably accommodate 6 people. Small dogs (up to 2) are welcome in this holiday rental. On the ground floor, this character house reveals a beautiful living room whose exposed stone walls have been preserved. In the old cantou, the traditional fireplace, a pellet stove has found its place. A large corner sofa, a duo of coffee tables and a television make up the living room. A buffet, a Scandinavian-style wooden table and its contemporary chairs furnish the dining room with elegance and sobriety. The modern kitchen, generously equipped, is independent. It has a real dining area with table and chairs. A large bay window brings in beautiful light and offers direct access to the outdoor terrace. Here again, comfort is the order of the day: garden furniture and deckchairs await you for a relaxing break. A laundry room with washing machine and separate toilets with washbasins complete the layout of the ground floor. A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor where you will find the 3 bedrooms as well as a large bathroom with walk-in shower and separate toilets. Each bedroom, carefully decorated, has a double bed and a wardrobe. In addition, the beds are made upon your arrival. On the landing, a play area is dedicated to the youngest, the stairs are secured for a peaceful stay. Overview of the activities and tourist sites to visit during your stay in Carladès. The hiking trails of Carladès offer breathtaking views of the Cantal volcano, including Puy Mary (classified as a Grand site de France®), Plomb du Cantal, and Puy Griou. There is no shortage of easy, medium or difficult mountain or forest paths. To plan your route, you can consult the Massif Cantalien Espace Nature application. On the Thiézac side, about twenty km from your gîte, discover: the Faillitoux waterfall, at an altitude of 1,100 metres, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Cantal the discovery trail of the Gorges du Pas de Cère, a refreshing walk along the water l’Elancèze, at an altitude of 1,571 metres, for its breathtaking view of the Monts du Cantal. This summit is accessible from the Col du Pertus. 3 Grande Randonnée trails cross the Carladès: the GR® 400 (tour of the Monts du Cantal), the GR® 465 (from Murat to Conques) and the Via Arverna (a variant of the Way of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, linking Clermont-Ferrand to Cahors).
