La Belle Cachette on the first floor is accessed by a stairway from its’ own front door and has a spacious open plan kitchen, diner and living room where everything for a comfortable stay is provided. La Belle Cachette is not suitable for children under twelve years of age. The rooms are luminous with ample windows and sky lights fitted with electric shutters in the mansard roof and blackout curtains where necessary for you to adjust the lighting to your needs. There is a reversible air conditioning and heating unit in the main room and each bedroom. No expense has been spared in the fully fitted kitchen, equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, extractor hood, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, kettle, toaster, raclette machine, stick blender and even a washer/drier for your clothes. A range of cutlery, crockery utensils and other equipment too numerous to mention are also provided. At the opposite end of the room from the kitchen you will find a relaxing area with a three-seater reclining sofa and a two-seater fixed sofa, storage unit, various board games, 50”LG LED 4K  multichannel television, internet socket, side tables, coffee table and lamps for a cosy ambience. We have concentrated on providing the most comfortable sleeping experience for you, so the two bedrooms have large 160cm double beds and mattresses with five support zones, sumptuous square and oblong pillows and quilts to ease you into a restful nights’ sleep. At each side of the bed there is a usb type A and C charging socket, a night table and a lamp. Fully fitted wardrobes with shelves and hanging space, as well as a drawer unit are in each room to take care of your clothes. The ensuite shower rooms have a modern toilet, walk-in shower with a screen, stylish sink unit and heated towel rail with fluffy towels. Heating and air conditioning are controlled by remote control for each unit, as are the blinds for the Velux windows. Matougues is situated in a rich arable agricultural and viticultural area next to the river Marne in the UNESCO World Heritage Champagne Region. With a population of just over six hundred people this well cared for village has a bakery, hotel with restaurant and seminar facilities, beauty salon, hairdresser, church, and village hall within a few hundred metres from the apartments. There are activities for all ages in the village. There is pétanque, a football pitch, tennis court and a children’s play area all within walking distance. Easily accessed from the A26 motorway, J17, 5km (about 3 miles) away, Matougues is perfectly placed as a base to visit Epernay and the many attractions in the champagne area, Chalons-en Champagne, the city of Reims and its’ 14th century cathedral or Lac du Der Nature Reserve and the lakes of the Forêt d’Orient.  For lovers of nature, fishing, running, or cycling, everything is practically on your doorstep. The river Marne is just around the corner, there are many gravel tracks for running and cycling and for those for whom distance is no problem, there is a cycle route V52 that you can join that runs from Dormans to Vitry-le-François, covering 90 kms (about 56 miles) in total. Disneyland Paris is 90 minutes away by car and is also easily accessible by train. If you love shopping, McArthurglen has 94 outlet shops 76km (about 47 miles) away near Troyes. Shows and events are scheduled throughout the year in Châlons-en-Champagne, in particular the Foire de Chalons located at the Capitole with more than 750 exhibitors is the second agricultural fair in France, which takes place in early September and the Fête Music on June 21. In addition to the Capitole in Châlons, there are numerous theatres, cinemas and arenas located within a few kilometers of Matougues.

Nous aimons vous accueillir personnellement entre 16h et 20h, mais il est possible d’arriver hors de ces horaires par arrangement préalable. Les appartements sont dans un village calme et pour cette raison nous acceptons les arrivées jusqu’à 22h maximum. Vous pouvez vous garer dans le parking devant l’immeuble où vous trouverez la porte pour La Belle Cachette à gauche et La Belle Prise à droite. Nous n’habitons pas loin et nous ferons tout pour que votre séjour se passe bien.
