Located in the south of Cantal, in the town of Cassaniouze, the Gîte du Fraust dominates the slopes of the Lot valley. It enjoys an ideal location to discover the Cantal chestnut grove
and the nearby department of Aveyron.

This rental is perfect for family reunions or holidays with friends. It has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower.


The living room consists of a lounge area, with a fireplace, an XXL sofa for comfortable lounging, and a dining area. A large table stands in the center of the dining room and faces the entrance to the kitchen. Independent and functional, the kitchen is very well equipped to prepare your meals.


This large living room has access to a large panoramic terrace. In fine weather, you can have an aperitif there and enjoy the magnificent view of the Lot and Auze valleys.


Your accommodation is equipped with an internet connection, a TV and a washing machine.
The rental price varies according to the number of people.
Pets are not allowed.


A relaxation area, a playground and four private ponds
The barn, located a few meters from the house, hosts a relaxation and well-being area. Throughout the year, you can enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool and the jacuzzi. The development work has highlighted the beautiful wooden frame of the barn and created a space of 70m² around the pool.


In the extension of the barn, the terrace with table, barbecue and deckchairs is a pleasant place to share moments of conviviality. Athletes will not fail to enjoy the volleyball court and bowlers will be delighted by the pétanque court reserved for them.


To stretch your legs, you will take a small path through the property which will lead you to the 4 private ponds. Fishing enthusiasts can even tease the gudgeon!

Rejuvenate in the Cantal Chestnut Grove
Adapted to solo outings or family getaways, there is no shortage of outdoor activities in the south of Cantal.


Very close to your rental, the Rochers de Servant, a remarkable natural and landscaped site, will offer you a superb view of the Don gorges.

During walks and walks, on foot or by bike, you will discover the diversity of the landscapes of the Châtaigneraie.


From the hamlet of La Bécarie, in Cassaniouze, the magnificent panorama over the Lot and Dourdou valleys will invite you to continue the hiking trail to Aveyron at La Vinzelle. La Vinzelle is a village perched on a rocky outcrop whose tranquility and authenticity you will appreciate.


From Laroquebrou, experienced hikers will enter the Gorges de la Cère on the GR652®.


For a day, go and breathe in the pure mountain air at the top of Puy Mary (1783 meters) or Plomb du Cantal (1855 meters).

Fancy a peaceful family swim? Take the direction of the beach of the peninsula of Puech des Ouilhes, on the lake of Saint-Etienne-Cantalès.

Le Pré des Étangs lake in Cassaniouze and Estanquiol pond in Calvinet
will be perfect for a relaxing day of fishing.

Visit a remarkable heritage between Cantal and Aveyron
All around your rental, beautiful medieval villages, such as Marcolès,
Montsalvy and Maurs la Jolie can be visited on foot at the leisurely pace of the holidays.


You will enter the medieval city of Marcolès through two doors opening onto the long street. Along it stand beautiful Renaissance facades.


Perched at an altitude of 830 meters, Montsalvy overlooks the Gorges de la Truyère and the Lot valley. The main street has kept its medieval porches at each end. Stroll along the narrow streets and admire the historical heritage of this small town full of character.


Seen from the sky, Maurs-la-Jolie has retained the shape of an almost perfect circle given to it by its ramparts, and which the Tour de Ville takes today. You will appreciate the sweetness of life in “Nice du Cantal” renowned for its southern climate.


Further north, at the entrance to the Regional Natural Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne, Salers is a very nice stopover for lovers of built heritage.
