The La Garriguette gîte is a beautiful character house of 76 m². With a capacity of 6 people, it has 3 bedrooms.


After crossing the garden, you will climb the few steps of the exterior stone staircase. Before entering the house, you won't be able to resist the temptation to discover the view from the terrace.


This terrace, laid out with a hard floor and secured by a guardrail, overlooks a valley. It offers an unobstructed view, without vis-à-vis, of the surrounding countryside. As soon as the fine weather arrives, the garden furniture and the deck chairs make up a living space in its own right.


The fully equipped kitchen (oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, etc.) is open to the living room on the ground floor.


The furniture (a large farmhouse table), the exposed beams and the cantou (large stone fireplace) recall the authenticity of the place. To warm up your evenings, a wood stove is installed in the cantou. A first bedroom (160 cm bed) and a separate toilet occupy this level.


The bathroom, with bathtub, and two bedrooms (one bedroom with 1 140 cm bed and one bedroom with 2 90 cm beds) are located upstairs. If you come on holiday with a baby, a kit is available on site. For your comfort, sheets are provided and the beds are made upon your arrival. The rental has a washing machine.


If you don't want to clutter up your suitcases, you can hire towels and household linen. A cleaning service is offered at the end of the stay.
Animals are not accepted in this accommodation.


Life-size holidays between Cantal, Aveyron and the Lot Valley
From your cottage in Ladinhac in southern Cantal, you can organize trips to the departments of Lot and Aveyron. Between visits to remarkable villages and outdoor activities, young and old will find what they are looking for.


Start your stay by going to the Puy de l'Arbre, the highest point of the Cantal chestnut grove at 825 meters above sea level. On leaving Montsalvy, this observation point offers a panoramic view of the Cantal mountains and the Aubrac plateaus. On a clear day, you will see the cathedral of Rodez!


Then continue to the village of Lapeyrugue. From there, you will overlook the Goul valley. By following the hiking route, you will discover a forest of oaks and chestnut trees, the reservoir of the Pons dam and the hamlets of Batut and Mas of remarkable architectural beauty.


Extend your getaway near Entraygues-sur-Truyère. The natural and preserved landscapes of the Gorges de la Truyère will make you want to put on your sneakers. Walking, cycling or horseback riding, swimming, activities on the lakes or visits to dams, you will not have time to get bored.


It would be a shame not to add a visit to the village of Conques to your trip to Aveyron. This “Most Beautiful Villages of France” is a major step on the way to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle. You will certainly come across a few pilgrims at the bend of a cobbled street.


The village of Vieillevie, about twenty kilometers from your accommodation, is the perfect place to admire the magnificent landscapes of the Lot valley.


To gain height, you will visit the fortified castle, an authentic fortress which dominates the valley with its high towers. To cool off in the Lot, you will have the choice between canoeing, kayaking, paddle or rafting. All its activities are offered at the Canoe Sport Nature base.


After the Gorges de la Truyère in Aveyron and the banks of the Lot, why not try the ascent of Puy Mary? For a day, you will completely change the scenery: the Parc Naturel des Volcans d'Auvergne is yours!


You will reach the summit of Puy Mary - Grand Site de France at 1787 meters, a little out of breath, but the splendid panorama of the Monts du Cantal will quickly make you forget your effort! On the way back, treat yourself to a heritage and gourmet break in Salers.


If you are looking for a much more relaxing activity to do with the family, you will appreciate the Junhac animal park. “The valley of the deer” can be visited on foot or by small train and allows you to become familiar with the deer, doe and fawn.


Between two hikes or sports outings, take the time to stroll through the narrow streets of Marcolès, Monsalvy or Mau
rs-the-Pretty. You will appreciate the tranquility and the built heritage of these medieval villages.


If you want to think outside the box, the European center for contemporary ceramics will surprise you. On the outskirts of the village of Fel and its terraced vineyards, the Don du Fel is a unique and atypical exhibition space.
