A house of character for 6 people


This gite with garden is located in the charming village of Le Chambon, at the gates of Anglards-de-Salers. With an area of 78 m2, it can accommodate 6 people.


In this house of character, a flea market spirit reigns in the main room. Furnished with rustic wooden furniture, the living room is organized around a large stone fireplace, called cantou. This space has retained its role as a home since it now has a wood stove (wood provided free of charge).


The independent kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and a washing machine. You will find everything you need (oven, coffee maker, microwave, etc.) to cook like at home. On the ground floor, you will also find a bathroom with a walk-in shower.


The 3 bedrooms and a bathroom (sink and toilet) occupy the first floor. One bedroom, equipped with a bunk bed and a cot, is dedicated to children. There is also a high chair. Sheets and household linen are provided. During periods of high heat, the air conditioning will bring you comfort.


This vacation rental has a quiet and pleasant outdoor space. In fine weather, prepare a plancha and take your meals on the shaded terrace. The large enclosed garden and its pétanque court will delight young and old alike.


The garage is at your disposal for your vehicles (car, motorcycle or bicycle).

The summer pasture promenade is only 5 km from your vacation rental. This pedestrian path is punctuated by 20 explanatory terminals on the history of the burons and the cheese-making activity. Halfway, you will discover a breathtaking 360° view of the Cantal and Sancy mountains. Allow 3 hours round trip for this 12 km ride.


The Salins waterfall lets the Auze river escape through a dizzying 30-meter jet of water. You will be charmed by the wild beauty of the site. 7 km from your accommodation.


The Pédalorail, classic or electric, of the Grand Pays de Salers (modern vélorail, a kind of pedal car) is particularly suitable for non-athletic people and families. 4 circuits departing from Drignac station.

The Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal is emblematic of the department. Recognizable by its majestic pyramidal silhouette, access to its summit (1787 m) is via a landscaped path.


You can go hiking on the territory of Puy Mary: 34 short hiking trails (PR) and 2 GR®, more than 350 km, are to be covered. Near Puy Mary, discover Puy Violent and Puy Chavaroche.


Cyclists and mountain bikers, in classic or electric versions, will find what they are looking for on the roads and tracks of Cantal.


An architectural and culinary heritage to savor


For an immersion in medieval and Renaissance times, go to the village of Salers. Houses with turrets, belfry, ramparts… walking through the alleys of this Most Beautiful Villages of France, you will travel back in time.


A mahogany-coated cow, an AOP cheese, an aperitif (to be consumed in moderation) and a biscuit (square-shaped), in Salers you won't know where to turn your head and your taste buds!


From your holiday rental in Anglards-de-Salers, you can take the historic route of the Châteaux d’Auvergne.


The circuit begins at the Château de la Trémolière, 2 km from your gîte! The Fantastic Bestiary, an exceptional collection of Aubusson tapestries from the 16th century is exhibited there. The contemporary garden of medieval inspiration, labeled "Remarkable Garden" invites you to take a walk.


Since 1430, the same family has lived in the Château d'Anjony. This typical fortress is decorated with remarkable 16th century frescoes. Your visit will then continue in the town of Tournemire classified as the Most Beautiful Villages in France.


A detour via Auzers will take you to its castle. Towers, walkways, watchtowers... the Château d'Auzers retains all the attributes of the stronghold. You will visit a lively place inhabited by the same family since the 15th century.

This 15th century castle was narrowly saved when the Bort-les-Orgues dam was built. Feet in the water, it sits proudly on a small peninsula on the edge of the lake.
