A small family-run guesthouse, situated in an idyllic setting, on the West coast of Rurutu. A whitesand beach is just in front of the house, a great place for a dip or for watching the sunset. The house is set in a coconut grove on the site of the Tararoa marae, a sacred site and once home to the island’s chief. Viriamu is a descendant of this ancient family. He and his english-speaking wife will take great pleasure to share their passion for the island with you. Viriamu also proposes horseriding excursions. The guesthouse has three rooms, each equipped with a private shower and WC (hot water). The accommodation is modest but charming. There is a communal living room and terrace, where you can try Elin’s cuisine, based on local produce. There is a small library that will also allow you to discover the cultural and natural diversity of Polynesia and our island. Local products such as Rurutu coffee and homemade jams can be purchased on site. This is a true family-run guesthouse, we live here with our three children, so the ambiance is intimate and family-oriented, a simple but warm welcome.
